2009 Adventure Race January 24, 2009
The Scout Adventure Challenge will be Central Florida’s premiere youth-based adventure race for those 11 and older. This 3 hour event incorporates all the traditional adventure racing disciplines: navigation, mountain biking, trail running, and paddling, plus some special surprises. There will also be an adult division. For more Info, click here.

2009 Eagle Encampment June 7-12, 2009
Troops get this date on your calendar, for your First Class plus and 14+ year old scouts. The ability for Scouts to achieve unprecedented progress on the Trail to Eagle via intensive merit badge instruction and their prerequisites, offering six Eagle Rank required merit badges [Citizenship in the Community, Nation & World, Communications, Family Life and Personal Management]. Each participant must take a minimum of 3-4 merit badges to qualify for admission. All-you-can-eat “teenaged sized portions” and all air-conditioned areas throughout included. Note: 2008’s participants averaged a merit badge completion rate of 88% (compared to 31% in 2007)! More info click on the appropriate link: Flyer, Participants Guide, Register Online.
